Vijayawada: The SFI leaders staged a protest in front of ZP High School at Ramavarappadu here on Friday. They visited the school which was flooded with rainwater. The rain water entered the school premises and several classrooms, said the leaders.
Speaking to media, SFI district secretary N Koti said that rain water entered the school and the students were in panic on seeing the rainwater filled in the classrooms. He alleged that the students are having their lunch standing in the water.
The government was not bothered to maintain the school premises and the infrastructure properly. He said that the conditions in school, which was established in 1990, can be improved by making many infrastructural repairs before anything happens to the schoolchildren.
He alleged that there were no proper infrastructure facilities and toilets for the students and demanded that the government fulfil the vacant non-teaching posts in the school.
