Vijayawada: Students should feel the responsibility to serve the nation, said Dr E Sivanagi Reddy, CEO, AP Heritage and Tourism Corporation.

He was the chief guest at 'Surabhi 2019', 10th annual day programme of KL University held on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, Reddy stressed that the country is in the hands of youth and they should propel the country in a right direction. Students should be actively involved in research activities for the betterment of the agriculture sector which will be true service to our country.

Guest of honour Dr Karuna Koneru, Principal Development Manager of Microsoft said that girls must study and do research on par with boys in every field including science, technology and management studies.

University days are more precious in student life and advised that every student should make use of the services provided by the university and reach their goal in life.

Ramajogayya Sastri, Telugu film lyricist said students can reach greater heights in life with dedication, commitment and hard work.

Raja Harin, Vice-President of KLU, Dr LSS Reddy, Vice-Chancellor, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr A Ramakumar, registrar RR Lakshmikantham, Dr Habibullah Khan, Dr K Subba Rao and Dr N Venkatram and the faculty took part in the programme.

Prizes were given to the winners of the competitions.
