Surya Grahana Japa Yagnam conducted at Tirumala

Tirumala: The Japa yaganam organised by the TTD at Pushkarini (holy temple tank) adjacent to Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple at Tirumala on Sunday left everyone in a spiritual bliss.

The TTD conducted the special programme `Rahugrasta Chudamani Surya Grahana Japa Yagnam' on the occasion of solar eclipse seeking world peace and wellbeing of the entire living creatures on the earth.

The partial solar eclipse lasted between 10:18 am and 1:38 pm in the State. During the period of the eclipse, the unique Japa Yagnam was conducted with utmost devotional fervour at the temple tank. TTD officials said that the spiritual programme was intended to boost up the morale of the people beleaguered over the pandemic and seeking the divine intervention to end the misery of the people world-over due to Covid-19.

HH Sri Pedda Jeeyar Swamy, HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy of Tirumala, TTD Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal, Additional EO AV Dharma Reddy, Veda Vignana Peetham Principal KSS Avadhani, archakas of Tirumala temple, Veda Parayanadars and senior TTD officials participated in the nearly four-hour long mantra japam.

As the Grahanam lasted for over three-and-a-half hours, the sacred programme was divided into six halves.
