Tirupati: Devotees from North and North Eastern States have booked tickets through online for having Srivari Darshan in Tirumala temple. So far 41,934 online tickets were booked for Darshan from 24 states across the country. According to TTD officials at present, AP state government had given permission only to allow the AP devotees for Darshan. Whereas state government yet to give its nod for allowing other state devotees to have darshan in Tirumala temple. This suspense may continue until the government of India fresh COVID -19 guidelines to come out.

Despite other states, devotees have booked online tickets for darshan till June end. Regarding this TTD officials are not confirming from when other state devotees will be allowed to Tirumala for darshan. it is learnt that Arunachal Pradesh 214, Assam 3, Goa 5, Gujarath 14, Haryana 7, J&K 2, Jharkhand5, Karnataka 4,478, Kerala 8, Madhya Pradesh 29, Maharastra 288, Odessa 13, Punjab 2, Rajasthan 2, TamilNadu 4447, Telangana4760, UP 23, Uttarakhand 2, West Bengal 13, Pondicherry 131 and Delhi 18 darshan tickets were booked by devotees till June 13 On Saturday.

As on date, TTD is allowing only 500 devotees for darshan. At Alipri Check Point officials are screening the darshan tickets as well as Aadhar card details if they belong to AP or other states. During the checking time security personnel are not allowing the other state devotees if they have online darshan tickets. It is quietly against the Government of India COVID-19 protocols. In view of the severity of the coronavirus spread in Maharastra, Gujarath and TamilNadu states, AP state government is mulling whether to allow those states devotees for Tirumala darshan or not.

One of the senior officers in TTD said that " we have given online access to other state devotees too for booking darshan tickets till June 30th, if the government will not give the permission before that date to allow other state devotees, these booked online darshan tickets would be cancelled automatically".
