SVMC, Ruia Hospital new chiefs take charge in Tirupati

Tirupati: Dr C Jaya Bhaskar has assumed charge as Principal of Sri Venkateswara Medical College, Tirupati and Additional Director of Medical Education on Thursday. She took over the charge from Dr G Ravi Prabhu. The government has appointed her in the post last week. She has been working as Professor of Medicine in the same college.

All heads of departments, faculty and non-teaching staff have congratulated her on the occasion. Dr Jaya Bhaskar has expressed happiness on assuming charge on Teachers' Day and assured to resolve any problems amicably.

Leaders of AP NGO Association, Government Doctors Association and Medical Employees Association also greeted the new Principal. Meanwhile, Dr Bharathi will be the in-charge of Maternity Hospital until further orders.

Dr V Bhavani also took charge as Superintendent of Ruia Hospital and Additional Director of Medical Education from Dr B Sidda Naik on Thursday. Earlier, she relived from the responsibilities of Superintendent of Government Maternity Hospital on Wednesday. Several doctors and other staff have greeted her on the occasion. RMOs Dr U Sri Hari and Dr Saraswathi Devi and others were present.
