SVVU Open House exhibition draws huge crowds in Tirupati
The Open House exhibition being organised by Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University since Friday has been drawing huge crowds, especially students and teachers.
Tirupati: The Open House exhibition being organised by Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University since Friday has been drawing huge crowds, especially students and teachers. On second day (Saturday), more than 4,000 students and 100 teachers across the Chittoor district have visited the exhibition.
It may be noted that SVVU authorities are conducting the exhibition for creating awareness among the public over science research in veterinary, fishery and poultry fields. Students mainly visited the exhibits of pathology , anatomy and other labs besides research equipment.
Varsity authorities have made special arrangements at galleries for the convenience of students and other visitors as BVSc students explained the details. SVVU arranged three buses for free transportation of the people to visit the campus.
On the second day, SVVU V-C Y Haribabu interacted with 100 teachers who have come to varsity for watching exhibition and explained them the basic principles of research and importance of life sciences.
One of the highlight in exhibition is children film show as it attracted the school students in large scale. Varsity officials also arranged dog shows , horse ride and snack stalls in front of university veterinary college building. Director Extension Prof D Srinviasul, Dean Dairy Technology Prof Padmanaba Reddy, Extension Officer Srinivas Rao and students of the varsity assisted to the visitors for seeing the exhibition.
