Guntur: TDP leaders led by its deputy floor leader in the State Legislative Assembly K Atchannaidu on Friday submitted a memorandum to Director General of Police Goutam Sawang listing out the attacks on TDP workers by YSRCP activists ever since the YSRCP came to power.

The memorandum was signed by TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu. The TDP leaders alleged that unable to bear harassment and attacks by YSRCP leaders, so far 545 families migrated to other villages.

YSRCP leaders were threatening the TDP activists and damaging their properties. The TDP leaders complained that the YSRCP leaders were not allowing the TDP activists to take up cultivation in their own lands and damaged horticulture crops also.

They said that so far 10 TDP activists were murdered and over 600 party workers were attacked. They alleged that the police booked false cases against TDP MLAs and former MLAs.

The TDP leaders also submitted a book to the DGP on deteriorated law and order conditions in the State under the rule of the YSRCP government. The book was brought out by the TDP. They alleged that to dilute TDP's 'Chalo Atmakur' programme, the police placed TDP MLAs and leaders under house arrest and explained how Home Minister Sucharita was making insulting comments against TDP leaders.

They also expressed concern over the Home Minister terming the victims of attacks by YSRCP activists as 'paid artistes.' They said that it is the responsibility of the State government to provide security to the victims.
