TDP leaders protest cancellation of pensions in Guntur

Guntur: TDP leaders protested against cancellation of social security pensions to the poor at Zilla Parishad Office in Guntur city on Monday. Holding placards they raised slogans against the cancellation of pensions to the poor.

Addressing the gathering, the TDP Guntur West Assembly constituency in-charge Kolvelamudi Nani recalled that as soon as TDP government came to power in 2014, the government hiked pension to Rs 2,000 to extend helping hand to the poor.

Later, they submitted a memorandum to the joint collector Dinesh Kumar to revive pensions which were cancelled.

TDP leaders Mannava Subba Rao, Degala Prabhakar, Kanaparthi Srinivasa Rao were among those participated.
