Amaravati: All set for the TDP MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan joining in the ruling YSRCP, after the Diwali. Vamsi has met the YSRCP president and Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Friday at later's residence at Tadepalli in Guntur district.

The Chief Minister and Vamsi had a discussion for more than twenty minutes, which was facilitated by Ministers Kodali Nani and Perni Nani. Though this was the first formal meeting between Jagan and Vamsi, both the leaders had communication before this development, sources informed.

In fact, Kodali Nani, Perni Nani, Vamsi and another TDP leader Vangaveeti Radha are close friends, beyond politics. That facilitated the joining of Vamsi into the YSRCP. Vangaveeti Radha also may join in the YSRCP very soon, if the plans and talks go well as expected by the mediating leaders, sources added.

It is worth to mention here that, the Vamsi also met BJP MP Sujana Chowdary, just before meeting Jagan. Vamsi reportedly has taken suggestions from Sujana Chowdary on the present position of the TDP and future of himself.

Recently, Sujana Chowdary shifted loyalty from TDP to BJP along with other leaders.

On the other hand, during the past four months, there were some cases lodged against Vamsi by the YSRCP leaders. This also forced him to join in the ruling party, observed a TDP leader.

Vamsi elected two times from Gannavaram Assembly constituency, including 2014 and 2019 on TDP ticket.
