The TDP leadership has finalised an action plan for extending help to party workers who are facing assaults by YSR Congress across the state.

Vijayawada: The TDP leadership has finalised an action plan for extending help to party workers who are facing assaults by YSR Congress across the state. As part of it, the TDP will open shelters in Guntur on September 3 to provide security to victims.

TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu, in a meeting with party leaders at the party office in Guntur on Thursday, took the decision in this regard. The team of party leaders led by Chandrababu Naidu will bring the victims from the villages where the YSR Congress leaders attacked the TDP workers.

The sympathisers of TDP are facing attacks more particularly in Palnadu area in Guntur district. In this backdrop, the TDP has decided to provide shelter to them in Guntur until the situation comes to normalcy.

Chandrababu Naidu said that the police have been acting as mute spectators though the YSR C leaders are continuing the attacks on TDP worker. The cases were filed against the TDP leaders like Karanam Balaram, Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, K Ravi Kumar, and several senior leaders, he said.
