Three minors among six arrested for gang rape on a minor girl
There were three minors in the gang of a six men who sexually assaulted a minor girl for five days, after forcefully confining her in a room.
Ongole: There were three minors in the gang of a six men who sexually assaulted a minor girl for five days, after forcefully confining her in a room. The Prakasam district police, who arrested all of the accused in a day, revealed that the first rape on the girl was done at one of the shops in bus station.
The Prakasam district SP Siddharth Kaushal said in Ongole on Sunday that the Shakti team members and police constables on duty at RTC bus stand identified a minor girl in a helpless condition on Saturday night. The women police team approached and interacted with her to know that she came to Ongole on June 16 and was raped for a number of times by a gang. They shifted the to the hospital for treatment by providing necessary care.
The SP Siddharth Kaushal said that the town DSP T Radhesh Murali, CI M Lakshman and other officials investigated the case. He said that the girl has attended her ailing grandfather in a hospital in Vijayawada. The girl then made friends with a man, Ammisetty Ramu, a cab driver from Ongole and exchanged mobile numbers.
The duo used to talk over phone, but the girl's mother find out that and beated her on June 15. On June 16, believing the words of Ramu, the girl reached Ongole at 07.00 PM , but not abled to meet him at the RTC Bustand. As the mobile charging is over, the girl approached Shaik Baji, who works at KR Mobile Phone Shop near platform number 24, at 11.00 PM and requested his phone to contact Ramu.
After a little chatting with her, he dragged the girl into the shop and raped her. He thrown her out in the morning and went away at 08.30 AM on June 17 but the girl continued to wait in the bus stand. At around 2.30 AM on June 18, Baji, Avula Srikanth Reddy and one minor reached bus stand and convinced her to go to their room offering shelter.
They took her to the room in the first floor of Sri Satya Keerthi medicals, near Chandamama Hospital and sexually assaulted together. On June 19, at 8.30 AM they locked the room confining her in it and went away. They gave the room key to Pathra Mahesh and two other minors who reached the room and raped her multiple times up to June 22. On Saturday at 3.00 AM, one minor dropped her at the RTC bus stand again and went away. The girl was spent the day in the bus stand itself until the Shakti team and other police personnel rescued in the evening.
As the news spread out on Sunday morning, the home minister Mekathoti Sucharita called the district SP Siddharth Kaushal and ordered them to investigate the case effectively and see no person is left free. The minister Balineni Srinivasa Rao also responded and announced that the government will not spare any of the people who are commenting atrocities on children and women.
The SP appreciated the DSP Radhesh Murali, CI Lakshman for immediately responding and apprehending all of the accused in less than one day. He also mentioned the efforts of the Shakti team to comfort the victim while gathering information and taking her to hospital immediately.
