Three-month-old baby boy recovered by Tirupati police
With the help of the CCTV footage, the police sent their teams to different places across the state and found out that the suspected woman works at a local restaurant in Tirumala.
TIRUPATI: On Monday, the Tirupati police have recovered a three-month-old baby boy, and handed him over to his parents. SP KKN Anburajan had said that the baby, who is identified as Veeran, was abducted near the SV shopping complex at around 4 AM on Sunday.
Maaveeran and Kousalya, the parents of the boy work as hawkers at Tirumala belonging to the district of Villupuram in Tamil Nadu. The parents filed a complaint with the Tirumala police who registered a case and initiated a search for him. With the help of the CCTV footage, the police sent their teams to different places across the state and found out that the suspected woman works at a local restaurant in Tirumala.
The baby was abducted by a woman who was identified as Tulasi who is from Karvetinagaram in Chittoor district. According to the police, her husband deserted her after she got an abortion.
By tracking her based on her mobile location, Tirupati police recovered the baby after they got a hold of the kidnapper and took her into custody.
