On the penultimate day of annual Karthika Brahmotsavams at Tiruchanur on Saturday, Goddess Padmavathi Devi in all Her divine splendour took a celestial ride on the mammoth wooden chariot along the four Mada streets encircling the temple.

Tirupati: On the penultimate day of annual Karthika Brahmotsavams at Tiruchanur on Saturday, Goddess Padmavathi Devi in all Her divine splendour took a celestial ride on the mammoth wooden chariot along the four Mada streets encircling the temple.

The procession of Maha Ratham commenced at the designated Vrischika Lagnam at 7.55 am. The devotees chanted Govinda.. Govinda... witnessing Lord Venkateswara in Goddess Padmavathi Devi while pulling the giant chariot out of religious ecstasy.

The grand procession concluded at 11 am at the temple centre on the pleasant cloudy day. The dance troupes which performed dances in front of the chariot added grandeur to the mammoth Ratham procession.

TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal, Tirupati JEO P Basanth Kumar, Chief Engineer Ramachandra Reddy, SEs Ramesh Reddy, Ramulu, Additional CVSO Sivakumar Reddy and DyEO C Govindarajan were also present.
