Tirupati: Sri City launches campaign against coronavirus in villages

Tirupati: Sri City Foundation launched an awareness programme in the villages in its vicinity, against the spread of coronavirus on Friday. On the first day, the Foundation staff along with the local police, medical staff and security personnel took up a campaign to educate the residents of Mallavaripalem West, Irugulam and Aruru villages.

The campaign includes health advice on how people can protect themselves from the infection by adopting hygiene practices such as regularly washing hands to prevent the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). People were advised not to travel unless necessary, and to avoid taking part in get-togethers and ceremonies.
