Tirupati: Students and teachers pay tributes to Savitribai Phule

Tirupati: Students and staff of Veterinary University paid rich tributes to Savitribhai Phule on the occasion of her 123rd death anniversary , on Tuesday.

This programme was jointly organised by Savitribhai Phule Foundation and Raylaseema BC students wing. Film actor R Naryanamurhty addressing the students, said that Savitribai Phule had brought educational reforms for women about 150 years ago. With help of Mahatma Jyothi Rao Phule, Savitribhai brought these reforms to educate the illiterate women, he said.

SV Veterinary University V-C Dr Y Haribabu also spoke. AP state BC Association president Shankar Rao and Veterinary University Students president US Nageshwar Rao and other students were present.
