The retail vegetable markets are selling the tomatoes up to 60 per kg depending on the grades of the material.

The tomatoes have takers from the cities of Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad due to the reduced production in those cities. Due to the massive consumption of tomatoes, it has become a boo for farmers as they could sell their goods for an increased cost and get an advantage.

The former Chairmen of Madanapalle agriculture market said that the increase in cost is reaping benefits to the farmers. It is reported that the prices have increased due to the changes in the climatic conditions
