TTD Chairman YV Subba Reddy's camp office to come up in Amaravati
Following the instructions of TTD Trust Board Chairman YV Subba Reddy, arrangements are underway for setting up a camp office in state capital Amaravati.
Tirupati: Following the instructions of TTD Trust Board Chairman YV Subba Reddy, arrangements are underway for setting up a camp office in state capital Amaravati.
Sources here said that Subba Reddy, after taking charge as chairman, directed the special grade deputy executive officer, Vijayawada to provide infrastructure for setting up of chairman camp office in Amaravati.
The officer wrote letter to Executive Officer informing him the requirements to be provided for establishment of chairman camp office in Amaravati.
The requirements include six staff members -Superintendent, 2 Junior Assistants with computer knowledge, Assistant-Shroff (one) and two attendars and also one big office room along with chamber with attached bathroom for the chairman.
The Vijayawada official requested the EO to direct Deputy Executive officer (services) TTD to provide the six staff members for the establishment of chairman camp office in Amaravati.
Meanwhile, the chairman's move to set up camp office in Amaravati drew criticism from some leaders. They argue that there is no need for chairman camp office in Amaravati, as he can utilise the services of the staff of the existing TTD offices for any work.
Setting up of the camp office for chairman would be an additional burden on TTD which spends money from pilgrims.
Previously, a chairman who is from Hyderabad had two or three staff including a camp clerk, but there was no full pledge camp office, revealed a retired senior TTD official.
