The TTD on Thursday brought one more Pilgrim Amenities Complex (PAC) into use taking the total number to four improving facilities to the visiting pilgrims in Tirumala.

Tirumala: The TTD on Thursday brought one more Pilgrim Amenities Complex (PAC) into use taking the total number to four improving facilities to the visiting pilgrims in Tirumala. The old Seva Sadan complex renamed as Padmanabha Nilayam located at RTC bus stand in Tirumala is opened to pilgrims with the performance of puja after creation of facilities required for temporary stay of pilgrims.

The massive building has 816 lockers and 70 toilets and bathrooms. Bengaluru based Vinay-a pilot and Anush a B Tech student received the first allotment of the lockers after the building is thrown open to the utility of pilgrims.

PACs which are proving immensely useful to the pilgrims, who were unable to get accommodation in Tirumala particularly during weekends, provides shelter in all to about 6,000 daily. Superintendent Engineer Ramachandra Reddy, Special Grade Deputy EO (Reception) Parvathi, FMS EE Mallikarjuna Prasad and other officials were also present.
