Kadapa: Two red sander smugglers arrested
Yerra balli police arrested two persons on the charges of illegally transporting red sander logs at Reddy cheruvu forest area in Yerraballi mandal on Tuesday.
Kadapa: Yerra balli police arrested two persons on the charges of illegally transporting red sander logs at Reddy cheruvu forest area in Yerraballi mandal on Tuesday. Police ignored to disclose the name of accused by saying as it will hit the investigation procedure. It is reportedly known that the accused who belongs to Reddy cheruvu village are allegedly transporting red sander smuggling for several months.
Speaking to media persons on Tuesday Rayachoti circle inspector A. Srinivasulu Reddy said following tip of Yerraballi SI M.Varaprasad along with his men conducted raids in the forest and caught the accused while indulging in the crime.
Meanwhile it is known smuggling activities were intensified in the villages like Divedu, Gadikota, veeraballi, Sani bayee villages where the locals developed contacts with the red sander smuggling as they are extending support to them for illegal transpiration of precious wood.
