Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy remembered
A meeting has been organised officially to mark the 173rd death anniversary of great warrior who fought against Britishers even before 1857
Kurnool: Panyam MLA, Katasani Rambhupal Reddy said that Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy was a great warrior who had revolted against the British rulers. He along with the Joint Collector, Patanshetty Ravi Subash addressed a programme organized on the occasion of 173rd death anniversary of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy at C Camp Circle in city on Saturday. The government announced to officially observe the death anniversary of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy.
Addressing the meeting, Katasani said that Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy had fought against the British rulers even before 1857. ``We should never forget the sacrifices of the warrior, taking his sacrifices as inspiration, we all should following his foot path,'' the JC said.
Patanshetty Ravi Subash further said he feel proud to have the opportunity to address about the dauntless warrior, Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy. The Joint Collector said the death anniversary would be organised at Kovelakuntla in an official way. On the occasion, several cultural programmes were organised. Children were clad in the great warrior's dress. Prior to addressing the meeting, MLA, JC and other leaders garlanded the statue of Narasimha Reddy at C Camp Centre and paid tributes.
