Vijayawada: 31 students secure Inspire MANAK awards
The three-day district-level Inspire awards-MANAK (Million Minds Augmenting National Aspirations and Knowledge) programme and projects competition was organised by the School Education Department at Don Bosco High School at Guntupalli near here from February 3, according to the district educational officer MV Rajyalakshmi.

A total of 302 students presented their projects in the competition. Out of these, 31 projects were selected to the state-level, she said. During this year's competition, the students have come up several innovative ideas, she said.
District science officer Mynam Hussain said that in the first phase, they conducted the district-level programme for the students of Nandigama and Vijayawada divisions in Krishna district. The next phase would be held at Gudivada.
District Collector A Mohammad Imtiaz participated and gave away prizes to 31 winners. The winners of the 31 projects would participate at the state-level three-day competitions which would be held at Kadapa from February 11, the district science officer said.Hussain said that the students should come up with innovative ideas to compete at national level.
If they secure national awards, they would be recognised and patents for their projects would be accorded, he said. "Such award winning students are also eligible for scholarships by some corporate companies. Some countries like Japan even invite them to encourage their talent," he said.
