Vijayawada: Chief Minister Y S jagan Mohan Reddy's Delhi tour and his meetings with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and other Ministers sparked a debate and speculations on the political developments in the State.

Speculations are rife that the BJP and YSRCP will have alliance and YSRCP will become partner in the NDA government. But, the BJP leaders denied the speculations and made it clear that there is no such possibility.

BJP national leader and Andhra Pradesh State affairs in-charge Sunil Deodhar has ruled out the possibility of alliance between BJP and YSRCP. Addressing the party workers in Visakhapatnam on Saturday, BJP national leader said BJP will have no alliance with the YSRCP. He questioned how YSRCP would stage protests against the NRC and CAA in the State after giving support to the BJP government at the Centre.

Deodhar said the BJP and Jana Sena would contest the local body polls in Andhra Pradesh. He said both the TDP and YSRCP are political enemies, political rivals of the BJP and there is no question of alliance between the BJP and YSRCP. He said the BJP will contest the local body polls with Jana Sena.

Reacting to the speculations that the BJP and YSRCP will have alliance, Civil Supplies Minister and YSRCP leader Kodali Nani said only Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy will give statement on such developments. He said the YSRCP was strongly insisting on the Special Category Status (SCS) for the State and would work with the objective.

He said the YSRCP will get four Rajya Sabha members soon and four more next year. He said the BJP needs the

support of YSRCP in Rajya Sabha and the YSRCP will work with BJP to get Special Category Status and for the development of State.

Speculations are rife for the past two days that the two MPs from Andhra Pradesh will get berth in the Union Cabinet and the BJP had made the offer.
