Vijayawada: District Collector Mohammad Imtiaz inspects ward secretariat

Vijayawada: District Collector Mohammad Imtiaz has asked the municipal corporation officials to make proposals for the construction of a building at the vacant VMC site near the 268, 269 number wards secretariats in Payakapuram on Thursday.

Imtiaz made a surprise visit to the ward secretariat in the city and inspected the office. He noticed that two ward secretariats are in a congested building and immediately spoke to the VMC Commissioner, Prasanna Venkatesh and asked him to give instructions to the officials for construction of new building on the ward secretariat premises.

He said that vacant land was available there and new building can be constructed for setting up ward secretariat office. Later, he interacted with the staff and asked the staff to address the grievances of the people at the earliest.

He assured the local people that Radha Nagar Municipal Park will be developed. He said that the children could play in the park while the elders could take a stroll and relax for sometime in the park. They can have quality time in recreation, he added. He urged the sanitary staff to keep the park neat and tidy after it was developed.
