Vijayawada police traced child kidnap case in just 2 hours
The Vijayawada police have responded immediately over receiving a child kidnap case. With the help of the technology, they traced the accused, rescued a two months child from the kidnapper and handed over to the parents.
Amaravati: The Vijayawada police have responded immediately over receiving a child kidnap case. With the help of the technology, they traced the accused, rescued a two months old child from the kidnapper and handed over to the parents.
Going into details, a couple Challa Amarnath, Challa Kamala Kumari a native of Yanamalakuduru village in Penamaluru Mandal of Krishna district are residing in Vijayawada city. Amarnath is working as a placement officer at Silk Development Corporation in Guntur.
His wife Kamala Kumari gave birth to a baby girl on July 27th. They named the newborn as Devika Venkata Dhatri. On Monday afternoon around 3 pm, mother went for a bath by giving the baby to her relative's son Akhil. On her returning back, she found her daughter and Akhil were missing.
The family members searched for them in the nearby areas, but they were not found. With this, they filed a missing complaint with Penamaluru police station. Over the information, Vijayawada city police commissioner Dwaraka Tirumala Rao has set up four teams headed by DCP -1 Harshavardhan under Central zone ACP Nagaraju Reddy and Penamaluru CI and ordered for investigation.
With the order, the police team reached the victim's house and inspected the CCTV footage in the surrounding area. In the footage near Sai Babu temple, the police found Akhil going with a bag.
In this context, the police have intensified the search to trace him. At around 7 pm, the police found the accused in Penamaluru and interrogated in their style, Where he admits the crime. He said that because his mother is not giving him money and moreover, she also not allowing to withdraw the amount from his bank account. With this, he tried to kidnap the baby for the sake of money.
Akhil, who was upset with the family members, kidnapped the baby, took her in a bag and went towards Pedapulipaka on a bicycle along with his father. After going 6kms, he left the baby in the nearby farm and returned home.
After returning home at around 6 pm, Kamala Kumari questioned him about the baby, where Akhil said he doesn't know anything. With this, she informed the police. The police reached the house and interrogated him, Akhil revealed the place where he left the child.
Immediately, the police reached the spot and found the baby Dhatri. For almost two hours, the baby was playing alone in the farm; Everyone breathed easy as she came out safely without any animals attack. The police took the baby to the government hospital for treatment. The Commissioner congratulated the police team for tracing the child's whereabouts within two hours.
