Vijayawada: As part of the promotion of fine arts, Siddhartha Kala Peetham, a cultural wing of Siddhartha Academy, organised a nationalistic dance ballet 'Vande Matharam' presented by Sridevi Nrithyalaya, Chennai at Siddhartha auditorium on Saturday evening.

The dance ballet was choreographed by Dr Sheela Unnikrishnan. It was composed in the backdrop of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. 'Vande Mataram' was an artistic presentation with great values like culture and heritage of India.

The dance feature commenced with an invocation dance depicting the evil thoughts and spread a message Live and let live with Unity in Diversity. The ballet was made of mixing both Indian and Western to impress the audience.

With the excellent choreographic values the dance feature was well connected to the connoisseurs. All the artistes performed with superb coordination and understanding. Technical inputs were well utilized. Music was composed by violin maestro Kannan.

All sections of the people present in the auditorium enjoyed the presentation. Some traditional items like 'Ganesh Pancharatnam' and 'Bolo Bolo Om Namassivaya' were also showcased. The artistes were felicitated by P Lakshmana Rao, president, Siddhartha Kala Peetham and the programme was coordinated by T Ramesh and K Manmadha Rao.
