Visakhapatnam: Future of youth destroyed in Andhra Pradesh, deplore TD leaders
Politburo member Ayyanna points out that state is in No 1 slot in ganja production and smuggling in the country
Visakhapatnam : Former minister and TDP politburo member Chintakayala Ayyanna Patrudu said the future of the youth in Andhra Pradesh has been destroyed during the four years of YSRCP rule.
Speaking to the media here on Thursday, he said the police claiming that the ganja arriving from Odisha is nothing but a blatant lie. Ayyanna wondered whether Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy knew about the report given by the Narcotics Control Bureau that Andhra Pradesh stands as number one in ganja cultivation and transportation.
“Jagan is involved in this dark business. He increased the prices of liquor and selling cheap liquor. Jagan would go down in history as a person who cannot rule the state,” he said.
The former minister reminded that out of 7.5 lakh kg ganja seized in the country, two lakh kg was found in AP itself. He said the AP is known for food grain cultivation in the country and now it is becoming notorious for cannabis cultivation.
Further, the former minister alleged that even the police know that the transportation of ganja is still going on within the Narsipatnam zone and Class X boys are being called for transportation.
Ayyanna Patrudu said that other cases in the state have increased drastically due to the use of 2,200 policemen for the CM’s security. He said the youth of the state have lost direction in life due to lack of jobs.
The politburo member asked the government what is the purpose of setting up a separate court in Gajuwaka to deal with cannabis cases. He said a number of cases were registered in Narsipatnam. He demanded the YSRCP government to set up a court in Narsipatnam.
Former MLA Gandi Babji, general secretary Pasarla Prasad, Byreddy Potanna Reddy and other party leaders were present.
