With an aim to instill scientific temper in the minds of students, GITAM Institute of Technology professional bodies organised ‘Tech Expo-2020’ here on Saturday for final year students.
Visakhapatnam: With an aim to instill scientific temper in the minds of students, GITAM Institute of Technology professional bodies organised 'Tech Expo-2020' here on Saturday for final year students.
The event was conducted to encourage students towards research, innovation and creativity. Using latest technology, students have come up with various exhibits on the occasion.
Unmanned ground vehicle, multipurpose material handling trolley, automatic garage door opener, modified bikes, multipurpose drones, solar operated and electric vehicles, home automation using DTMF module, foot type detector, impulse robotic arm, gravity city power through gravity, smart dustbin, shadow detector, blue tooth controlled car and hospital automation along with many others formed a part of the fair.
The expo was jointly organised by Institute for Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) GITAM student chapter and Mechanical Engineering Department.
The expo was inaugurated by Deputy General Manager of Jindal Steel and Power Limited Condition Monitoring Cell Sivanth Ram, Visakhapatnam Port Trust Deputy Traffic Manager V Sridhar.
GITAM Institute of Technology Principal C Dharmaraj, Mechanical Engineering Department Head Satyanarayana, ECE Department Head P V Y Jayasri participated in the event.
Projects designed by the students drew the attention of visitors who appreciated the innovative models put up at the venue.
