Visakhapatnam: Director of Nuclear Studies Institute, American University, Washington, Peter Kushnick highlighted the Indo-American relations and consequences of nuclear weapons while addressing the students at the Department of Political Science and Public Administration, Andhra University, here on Monday.

Peter Kushnick briefed about how nuclear explosions produce both immediate and delayed destructive effects. "Blasts, thermal radiation and prompt ionizing radiation cause significant destruction within seconds or minutes of a nuclear detonation," he said.

Further, he laid emphasis on studying history and exhorted the students to pay attention to the subject. Among others, Head of the Department of Political Science and Public Administration P Premanandam attended.
