Visakhapatnam: YSRCP leader and Rajya Sabha member V Vijayasai Reddy has alleged that some forces are trying to stall the establishment of three capitals in the State.

Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, the MP said despite the Opposition party trying its level best in bringing the proposal to a halt for a temporary period, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was keen on making Visakhapatnam as an executive capital and it would materialise. "It can only be delayed for a while, but cannot be stopped," he asserted. When asked whether the BJP was against the three capitals concept, he said he was not aware of it.

"I am not sure whether the BJP government is against the three-capital move but Y Sujana Chowdary is as both Naidu and Sujana had land deals in Amaravati," the MP reiterated. Speaking about Pragati Bharati Foundation, he said the trust was floated to serve the people. He appealed to the people to plant saplings to make State 'Haritandhra Pradesh'. The MP added that the foundation came into existence post the bifurcation of the State and its sole aim is to do public service.

After taking part in a tree plantation programme at Peda Rushikonda on Tuesday, the MP said every individual should plant a minimum of three plants to protect environment and fight against rising pollution levels. "As a part of the green challenge, we wanted to plant 25 crore plants across the state," Vijaya Sai Reddy mentioned.

He further stated that Visakhapatnam is always a special place and home for many eminent personalities. "Visakhapatnam is a major tourist destination in the State and it will be made even more beautiful as the Chief Minister had already announced this as an executive capital. It will be fulfilled. No one can stop the establishment of three capitals of Andhra Pradesh," the MP added.
