Vizianagaram LS constituency Chandrasekhar confident of getting Kapu votes

Vizianagaram: The political situation in Vizianagaram Lok Sabha constituency becomes interesting as the senior TDP leader P Ashok Gajapathi Raju is contesting from here and his opponent B Chandrasekhar of YSRCP is not much senior in politics. Ashok Gajapathi (Kshatriya), is sitting MP of this constituency and he had also worked as Minister for Aviation in Narendra Modi's cabinet.

Bellana Chandrasekhar (Kapu), hails from Cheepurupalli constituency, who worked as ZP chief is contesting from YSRCP. Though Chandrasekhar is not a senior leader, he is confident over his victory. In fact, Kapu voters are much higher than any other community in Vizianagaram LS constituency as Cheepurupalli, Nellimarla, Gajapathinagaram and Etcherla Assembly segments are strong base for Kapu voters. Vizianagaram, Bobbili and Rajam also have good number of Kapu votes.

Actually, the Kshatriya votes are less here and we can see those voters only at Vizianagaram town. If the caste factor and community feeling arises among the people, the victory for Chandrasekhar would become easier. As of now, Botcha (Cheepurupalli), B.Appala Narasaiah(Gajapathinagaram), B Appala Naidu (Nellimarla), G Kiran(Etcherla), Rajam(K.Jogulu) have chances of winning from YSRCP. So, Chandrasekhar is expecting that the votes of these MLAs candidates will help him to win against Ashok Gajapathi Raju.

Ashok Gajapathi Raju has name and fame over public on his honesty is also confident that his services will bring him back as MP. He spent his of MP Lads funds and laid roads, flyover in this town. But interestingly Aditi Gajapathi , daughter of Ashok is also contesting from Vizianagaram Assembly constituency. The sitting MLA M Geetha (Kapu) is denied ticket and she was replaced by Aditi. Geetha felt this as insult and planning to split the TDP votes.
