Woman commits suicide over unwanted marriage in Visakhapatnam district
In an incident, a young woman has committed suicide by jumping into well over unwanted marriage. The police have registered a case on getting a complaint from the deceased family members.
Visakhapatnam: In an incident, a young woman has committed suicide by jumping into well over unwanted marriage. The police have registered a case on getting a complaint from the deceased family members.
Going into details, the deceased Aruna (17) a daughter of M Ramana and Satyavani of Rolugunta village in Visakhapatnam district has been staying at her grandmother's house in Anaparthy in East Godavari district for some time.
On September 7, Aruna has visited her Parents house at Rolugunta. In this context, parents asked the daughter to marry her uncle. However, Aruna refused that she would not marry.
On that night she went to see Ganesh immersion procession and didn't return. With this, the worrying parents search the nearby localities for their daughter. The next day (Sep 8) they also searched near the wells and found her lying dead in a well at Kottevide.
Over receiving the complaint, SI Umaheshwara Rao reached the spot, registered a case and investigating further. The dead body was shifted to Narsipatnam area hospital for postmortem purpose.
