During Chalo Atmakur rally, Nannapaneni has made objectional comments against a Dalit SI. Over the incident, SI Anuradha has filed a complaint with Mangaligiri police station. In this context, the police have booked a case on Nannapaneni under 303, 506,509 r/w 34 IPC Sections.
On the other side, the YSRCP, Dalit community has expressed their outrage on former Women's Commission chairwoman and staged a protest demanding her arrest in Mangaligiri
