Vijayawada : (NTR District) South Central Railway Vijayawada Divisional Railway Manager Shivendra Mohan said that Yoga is an ancient science and immensely benefits the health of the individuals if practised daily.

Speaking at a programme on the International Yoga Day at railway function hall here on Tuesday, the chief guest, Shivendra Mohan, suggested all to practice Yoga every day and make it part of everyone's routine to beat daily stress and other ailments of today's lifestyle. Stating that one can achieve balance, strength, flexibility, energy and brighter mood through Yoga, he advised the staff to inculcate the practice of performing Yoga asanas for better performance in professional life especially the frontline staff and Loco Pilots to handle stress.

D Srinivasa Rao, ADRM, Infrastructure and M Srikanth, ADRM, Operations were the guests of honour. Around 600 employees from various departments of Vijayawada division participated in the Yoga event.

Renowned Yoga Master IS Ramanjaneyulu taught various yoga asanas to the participants. All the staff participated in the event with great enthusiasm and zeal.

Shivendra Mohan felicitated yoga master Ramanjaneyulu for his valuable yoga lessons to the staff and congratulated the Personnel Department team for organising the event in a splendid manner.

Similarly, Yoga camps were organised at Vijayawada railway station and Electric Traction Training Centre, Satyanarayanapuram for staff and trainee Loco pilots respectively. At Wagon Depot, Kakinada Port 200 staff took part in the yoga event and made it a huge success.
