Guntur: Former chairman of Sports Authority of India, P R Mohan came down heavily on the YSRCP government for failing to provide minimum infrastructure facilities to players participated in the 35th National Junior Athletics Championship held here on the premises of ANU in Guntur district on Sunday.

In a statement, he said the players had to wait for one hour to go to toilet and added that he had never seen this kind situation in any sports event. He reminded that while Chandrababu Naidu was Chief Minister, the government had efficiently conducted the sports meets and the government constructed the stadiums and mini-stadiums for players and encouraged sportsmen.

He recalled the TDP government had given Rs 3 crore prize money and a government job for Badminton Champion P V Sindhu as part of encouraged her in sports.
