Amaravati: The YSRCP Parliamentary Party, which met here on Friday, has listed out several issues which it proposes to raise during the winter session of Parliament. The issue of special status also figures among the issues.

It now remains to be seen in what format it would be raised in Parliament. The party has to either raise the matter in form of a question or as a special mention during the zero hour. It may not be possible to bring it in Parliament in the form of discussion as the Centre has made it clear that it was a closed issue.

The Chief Minister, it is learnt, will write a letter to the Centre seeking relaxations for eligibility in housing scheme. Jagan observed that the central government's restrictions on the eligibility for housing scheme have adversely affected many sections. Those who have cell phones and bikes have become ineligible for the houses, he said. He also directed the MPs to raise issues like release of funds for Polavaram and bridging the revenue deficit.

The Centre has to release at least Rs 3,222 crore as Polavaram dues to the state. In addition to that, the Centre has to release at least Rs 10,000 crore under the Rehabilitation and Resettlement package.

Jagan directed the MPs to seek from the Centre sanctioning of 12 lakh additional houses for the rural poor since the government had taken up housing scheme on a massive scale.

He further said the state has to get at least Rs 2,246 crore under the NREGA. Jagan suggested the MPs to ask the Union government to extend the length of the roads under PMGSY from 3,285 km to 6,135 km. Seeking approval for seven new medical colleges for the state is another issue which the party has listed.

There is a proposal to shift the Tribal University to Salur in Vizianagaram district and the MPs were suggested to get the nod from the Centre. The YSRCP leaders will also ask the Centre to announce the interlinking of Krishna and Godavari rivers as a national project.
