Rajahmundry: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has asked the people to evaluate the difference in administration between the YSRCP government and the previous TDP government.

Addressing a public meeting where he launched the increase in pension by Rs 250 per month on Tuesday, Jagan said that while the previous TDP government had cheated every section of society, the present YSRCP government had implemented the welfare schemes as promised in its election manifesto. He said he was feeling proud to implement his promises and hike the social pension that benefits the downtrodden, including the differently-abled, widows, the aged, non-earning single women, etc.

Referring to the recent two incidents at Guntur and Kandukuru, where some people died in stampede, the Chief Minister said the publicity craze of TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu is responsible for the deaths. He draws pleasure by conducting meetings and roadshows in congested areas for photo shoots which was resulting in stampedes, he said. "During the TDP regime, every section of society suffered miserably as it pursued the policy of plunder, stash and devour," the CM said, adding that now almost all sections of society, including fishermen, handloom workers, toddy-toppers and even patients undergoing kidney dialysis, are happy with the hiked pensions on which the government has so far spent Rs 62,500 crore.

The Chief Minister said the publicity-mongering Naidu who claims to have 45-years of political experience and 14 years as CM never feels ashamed to garland NTR statue and shed crocodile tears for the sake of votes after backstabbing him.

Observing that the state is witnessing a fierce war between the poor and the capitalists that wants to deny English medium schools and welfare measures to the downtrodden, Jagan said that he always sides with the poor and will continue his welfare schemes with the support of the people.
