The new KTM RC 390 is expected to debut at EICMA this November. Here's what you can expect from the entry-level supersport

While KTM launched a heavily updated 390 Duke in 2017, the RC 390 is still to get a major overhaul. However, come November that might change as KTM might debut the next-generation RC 390. We have already seen spy images of the next-generation prototype and they give a fair indication of what to expect from the upcoming 2020 RC 390:

Larger bodywork:
Straight away, you notice the larger bodywork. Instead of the sharp slim fairing, the bike now gets larger panels that make the new RC 390 look bigger. It also seems to get a larger fuel tank. The front section now has a large air duct with sharp-looking twin headlamps on either side and a large one-piece windscreen.

New features:
The biggest update in terms of features would be the colour TFT instrument console from the new 390 Duke. We expect to see an updated version of the same along with left-side switchgear from the 390 Duke which houses navigation buttons. While the current RC 390 gets twin projector headlamps, given KTM’s penchant for having LED lighting in its modern motorcycles, we could see the new RC sport LED headlamps as well.

New underpinnings:
The spied test mule had crude welds on the subframe which could mean a revised chassis to make the RC 390 more agile. Apart from that, we expect the new RC 390 to feature updated WP suspension. It currently features 43mm upside-down forks and WP monoshock. The wheels and brakes seem to be carried over.
