BoM staff protest against willful defaulters

Hyderabad: Bank of Maharashtra (BoM) employees organised a peaceful demonstration in front of wilful defaulters in Hyderabad on Thursday.

The employees of bank visited the houses and offices of wilful defaulters carrying placards and banners asking the customers to pay back the dues.

Bank's Zonal Manager, Divesh Dinkar said that this is employee driven movement. There are people who have deliberately defaulted on loans and leading an extravagant life at the expense of the public money deposited with Bank.

Because of the huge bad debts, the bank's profit has been hit and adversely affected the Bank's lending portfolio.

Moreover, the public money is trucked with the defaulting corporates, while many of them may have sources to pay.
