Nellore: Medicover Global, a leading healthcare and diagnostic services provider from Europe, has launched a 250-bed hospital here. The group will further expand its operations in the coastal town with setting up of 'Medicover Oncology Institute' (MOI), a 100-bed cancer cure facility. Medicover is looking to acquire a 500-bed hospital in Hyderabad. The expansion plan includes adding 1,000 beds through new facilities in Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam and Srikakulam in 2020.
Speakin0g to media after the inauguration of the Medicover Hospital here on Wednesday, Fredrik Ragmark, CEO, Medicover Global, said: "Medicover Global will bring best-in-class technology, capital, world-class infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and other elite services to deliver quality, process oriented, patient-centric healthcare in India. This market is all set to witness tremendous growth over the next few decades, and Medicover Global is rightly positioned to tap into this opportunity."
India has emerged as a focal point to Medicover Global's international business and will continue to invest into this fast-growing market.
"We have so far invested Rs700 crore in the form of debt and equity. We're committed another Rs 300 crore towards upcoming projects, including MOI facility in Nellore," he said.

he Group is in talks to acquire a 500-bed hospital in Hyderabad and is in the process of adding 500 beds additionally in Andhra Pradesh, by setting up a 200-bed unit in Visakhapatnam, and a 300-beds facility in Srikakulam.
