His research contributions to real-time systems have been pivotal, particularly his work on mixed-criticality scheduling algorithms. Discussing the impact of this research, he emphasizes, “In systems like automotive and aerospace, timing and reliability are paramount. His contributions to FreeRTOS, a widely used real-time operating system, further highlight his expertise. He remarks, “Enhancing FreeRTOS with dynamic priority and security-aware schedulers made it possible to handle more complex real-time applications effectively.”

In the automotive domain, his work on AUTOSAR systems showcases his technical prowess. Reflecting on his contributions, he says, “Automation and efficiency are critical in modern automotive software. My focus has been on reducing errors and ensuring robust system performance.”

Leadership and mentoring are integral to Sudharsan’s career. Speaking about his role as a mentor, he shares, “Guiding young engineers has been as fulfilling as tackling technical challenges. It’s inspiring to see the next generation push boundaries.”
