Hyderabad: Shure, a US-based audio equipment maker on Thursday expanded its presence in India by establishing a new facility in Hyderabad. The new facility is dedicated to product development and software excellence.

This is the company's second facility in India, after it opened a sales and marketing office in Bengaluru in 2018.

The engineering centre in Hyderabad is its fifth location joining Copenhagen, Denmark; Edinburgh, Scotland; Niles, Illinois, USA; and Suzhou, China.

Shure said this new facility will provide software intelligence that will help the company expand its product portfolio.

Dr Avinash Vaidya, Executive Vice President, Product Development and Chief Technology Officer, Shure said: "Our Hyderabad engineers have played and will continue to play a key role in our strategy to support the continued progress of Shure's software capabilities.

They will help us achieve our strategic growth goals by providing the software acumen we need to expand our product portfolio for the digital era."

The CTO further said, the centre here, will focus on software design, development, and quality testing for products across Shure's vertical businesses worldwide.

Besides, it will also strengthen the company's existing partnership with TCS, Vaidya said, adding, the team in Hyderabad will develop software for Wireless Workbench and Conferencing Workbench solutions, designer products, and apps for Android and iOS mobile devices.
