Hyderabad: The Skyworth Group, a Hongkong-based $5 billion consumer electronics conglomerate is planning to invest $100 million in its Hyderabad factory.

Criver Liu, MD India-Skyworth, said, "As per our plans, Skyworth Group will make an investment of $100 million in the factory. So far, we have sold 4,82,000 units and for 2020 our plan is to sell 2 million units.

Our brands Metz and Coocaa will capture a major share of the Indian market soon. We also aim at generating employment for more than 5000 people in Hyderabad."

Skyworth, one of the largest TV manufacturers across the globe is also the parent company for Metz and Coocaa TV. The company's estimated global brand value was at $19.5 billion in 2018 and the current Investment in India Factory is $15 million in 2019.

METZ –A German brand which is acquired by Skyworth has Online & offline presence and Coocaa TV -The internet Brand, has already been launched on Flipkart.
