This flick was bankrolled by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Kishore Lulla under Bhansali Productions, Amber Entertainment and Eros International banners. This movie showcased the story of the Maratha PeshwaBajirao I (1700–1740 AD) and his love tale with his second wife 'Mastani'. Ranveer Singh essayed the titular role and looked terrific in his 'Maratha' warrior avatar.
