Akshay Kumar Drops A Gripping Poster From 'Laxmmi Bomb' Movie

Laxmmi Bomb… This Akshay Kumar starrer movie has many expectations on it. Being directed by Tollywood director and ace choreographer Raghava Lawrence, this movie is a remake to 'Kanchana' movie which was a bumper hit in both Kollywood and Tollywood industries.

The importance of the transgender character in the movie and the horror elements made it a thriller and edge of the seat movie. Well, in this Bollywood version, Akshay Kumar will be seen as a transgender for the first time in his film career.

As announced yesterday evening by Disney+ Hotstar, along with Bigg Bull, Sadak 2 and Bhuj: The Pride Of India, even Laxxmi Bomb will also be dropped on this OTT platform due to the rapid spread of Covid-19 virus in India. Thus, producers of these movies decided to go with small screens to make their movies reach the audience in the best possible way.

As there is no clarity of the opening of theatres, slowly producers are eyeing on OTT platforms like Hotstar, Amazon Prime and Netflix for the release of their movies.

This is just amazing and out-of-the-box… Akshay stole the hearts and left us speechless with his awesome look. Only a part of his face is seen rimmed in blue hues. Even the over-sized red bindi, red eyeliner along with the scary red eyes made us go awestruck. Even the stack of red bangles made this poster look gripping. On the whole, Akshay confirmed us that, it is going to be a horror ride…

In the virtual press meet which was held yesterday, Akshay spoke about his role in this movie: "In my 30 years career, this is my most mentally tough role. Raghava introduced me to a version of me even I didn't know existed. This character is unlike anything I have portrayed before and I had to be sure that I did this role without offending any community. Despite doing 150 films, I was so excited to be on the sets every day. I have never given as many retakes as I have given in this film. Laxmmi Bomb has made me more sensitive about gender equality."

When asked about draping a saree Akshay said, "It is a lovely garment that fits all sizes and shapes. We see women in our daily lives who wear a sari and catch buses and trains, go about their daily routine without the pallu even budging an inch. I couldn't even walk in a sari, it was quite an experience for me. Hats off to how women manage it. I would say if you want to appreciate a sari truly, you should try wearing one."

Laxxmi Bomb has Kiara Ali Advani as the lead actress. This movie is directed by Raghava Lawrence and is bankrolled by Shabbinaa Khan and Tusshar Kapoor under Tusshar Entertainment House, Shabinaa Entertainment, Cape Of Good Films and Fox Star Studios banners.
