Karan Johar's Knee Jerk Reaction Over Sushant Trolls: KJO Decision Shocks Film Industry

Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput's Suicide has caught the social media by storm. Even as the debate over nepotism in the film industry rages on, well known filmmaker Karan Johar has become the butt of all jokes. Not just memes, but the filmmaker has also been at the receiving end of all criticism for showing preferential treatment to star kids in his popular chat show as well as movies.

Several video clips from his TV programme Koffee With Karan with celebrities where they are seen making fun of small-time and upcoming talented artistes have gone viral, much to his embarrassment.It all started after KJO posted a condolence message for Sushant following the latter's suicide. In his post he said he blamed himself for not reaching out to the actor even after knowing his problems. This enraged fans to no end who slammed and trolled the filmmaker for being a hypocrite and encouraging nepotism in the industry. This seems to have hit him hard.

We all know that Karan has a huge fan following on social media and he was also following all the top actors and media houses. However, in a shocking knee jerk reaction to the trolls due to Sushant death, Karan Johar has done the unthinkable. He has unfollowed all except 8 celebrities on Twitter.

Among the celebrities, Karan follows just three Bollywood actors—Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan. Besides the CEO and the official accounts of his production House Dharma, Karan follows Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

This act of Karan has shocked his fans and the film fraternity.
