Now, Watch Tanhaji And Chhapaak On Hotstar

January 2020 saw the release of two big movies in Bollywood. This week there are two movies Chhapaak and Tanhaji on Hotstar. One was a period flick on the Maratha hero Tanhaji the unsung hero which featured Ajy Devgn in the titular role. Another significant movie was based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. The movie was titled Chhapaak and starred Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone in a de-glam.

Both Deepika and Ajay drew a lot of praise from the audience as well as critics for their mindblowing performances.

Both Padukone and Devgn breathed life into their characters. Tanhaji was a super-duper hit from day one. The first day collections of the period movie stood at Rs 15.10 crores while the total box office figures were said to be Rs 278.47 crores.

On the other hand, even though Chhapaak was based on a real-life story, the film failed to draw the expected crowd to theatres. Despite rave reviews, Chhapaak could only collect a mere Rs 34 crores at the box office.

Tanhaji was directed by Om Raut and featured Kajol, Saif Ali Khan and Sharad Kelkar in key roles.

Chhapaak was the maiden production of lead actress Deepika and featured Vikrant Massey. The film was directed by Meghna Gulzar.
