On Kabir Singh And Mental Hai Kya Clash, All The Best Says Shahid Kapoor

Actor Shahid Kapoor starring Kabir Singh is clashing with Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao starring Mental Hai Kya, and "Haider" actor wishes luck to the other team.

Mental Hai Kya is directed by Prakash Kovelamudi, and features Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao in lead roles. Kabir Singh, on the other hand, features Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani in the lead. The film is the Hindi remake of Telugu superhit Arjun Reddy, which featured Vijay Deverakonda and ‎Shalini Pandey in the lead roles.

Shahid Kapoor and Kangana Ranaut has earlier worked in "Rangoon" which was directed by Vishal Bhardwaj.

Talking about the clash, Shahid Kapoor said, "Yeah, even I saw the poster of Mental Hai Kya, and it had the same release date. I think our teaser released a couple of weeks before that, so yeah, I guess there are also releasing on the same day, and all the best to them"

Further adding, Shahid said, "If a film is good, regardless of anything, people will come to watch it. And if the film is not good, even if it has a solo release, doesn't do well. In last one year we've seen it happen with so many films. We have already confirmed that we're coming on that date, so the ball was in other films court, but you know, all the best to them"

After unveiling the first official teaser, which went viral, actor Shahid Kapoor also confirmed the trailer release.

He said, "The Trailer will be out in May, second week of the May, the trailer will be out"

Kabir Singh is slated for 21st June 2019.
