It all started off from Irrfan Khan's demise and within 24 hours, legendary actor Rishi Kapoor breathed his last and in the last month, we witnessed young actor Sushant Singh hanging himself. Now, ace choreographer of Bollywood Saroj Khan left the world and made the Film Industry mourn once again.
Fondly called as 'Master ji', Saroj Khan choreographed hundreds of songs and even introduced the amazing dancing talents of Sridevi, Madhuri Dixit and a few other actresses to the audience. Not only Bollywood, but this ace choreographer worked for Tamil and Telugu movies as well.
She created a niche for herself and choreographed the songs straight from Amitabh ji to current generation actors as well. Holding the experience of 4 decades, Saroj Khan did her best and gave her everything to the dance field making us witness amazing performances of actors on the big screens.
Saroj Khan was born as Nirmala Nagpal on 22nd November, 1948 and started her career in childhood itself. She first got introduced to big screens as a background dancer and then slowly built her career. Her first breakthrough was 'Geeta Mera Naam' movie which was released in 1974.
Her life was not at all bed of roses; she was married at the age of 13 to a married man whose age was 43. Later she got married to businessman Sardar Roshan Khan in 1975 and this couple was blessed with a daughter Sukaina Khan.

She won these awards in the category of 'Best Choreography' for the flicks like Devdas, Jab We Met, Guru, Khalnayak, etc. And coming to National award, Saroj Khan bagged it 3 times for her 'Best Choreography' in the movies Devdas, Jab We Met and a Tamil film Shringaram.
Not only on the big screens, Saroj Khan even entertained the small screen audience turning into the judge for a few dance reality shows like Nach Baliye, Ustaadon Ka Ustaad, Boogie Woogie and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.
Saroj Khan's last song was "Tabaah Ho Gaye…" (Kalank). She choreographed it for her best student Madhuri Dixit.
