Varun Dhawan Confirms Coolie No 1, Release Date

Varun Dhawan drops the first look poster of Coolie No 1 remake and confirms the release date of the film.

The makers of Coolie No. 1 announced the release date of the film. The Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan-starrer is scheduled to release on 1 May, 2020, exactly a year after it was announced on Labour Day.

Varun Dhawan took to his social media and dropped the deeds. He captioned it, "Aaj ka Din, Agle Saal…Aega Coolie No.1 - Hoga Kamaal!!! Coolie No.1 releases on May 1, 2020 #DavidDhawan #SaraAliKhan @vashubhagnani @poojafilms #1YearForCoolieNo1 #LabourDay"

He also posted an image of a railways badge that is associated with porters employed in service. The badge is tied around the familiar red-coloured costume that the official workers wear.

The film, Coolie No. 1 is an official adaptation of its 1995 original, which also had the same name. The original starred Govinda and Karisma Kapoor in the lead roles.

The original film was directed by Varun's father and filmmaker David Dhawan, who will be directing the upcoming film and it will be produced by Vashu Bhagnani, who also bankrolled the 1995 classic comedy.

This will be the second collaboration between David and Varun after the 2017 hit film 'Judwaa 2'.

Varun was last seen in the recently released 'Kalank', while Sara last starred in 'Simmba'.
