Karthi's superhit film to get remade in Hindi

Khaithi is one of the biggest hits of the Tamil Cinema last year. Despite the offbeat storyline, lack of story and songs, the film had minted a huge amount of money at the box office. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, this film remained one of the biggest hits in-hero Karthi's career. Its Telugu dubbed version Khaidi also became a super hit in the Telugu states. Khaithi deals will the story of a prisoner who gets released and is on the way to meet his daughter. but unforeseen circumstances make him fall in a mess and how he comes out of it forms the crux of the story.

Now, Khaithi's producer SR Prabhu is planning to remake the film in Hindi. Apparently, Prabhu wants Lokesh to helm the Hindi version as well. As of now, Lokesh is busy in the filming of his next film Master, which features Thalapathy Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi as the leads. This film will release in April first week. Mostly, after the Master's release, the pre-production works of Khaithi Hindi remake will begin.

We heard that Lokesh is quite interested to helm the Hindi version but is yet to give his nod though. The sources claimed that either Ranveer Singh of Hrithik Roshan might play the lead role in this crime thriller. Watch this space for more updates on this film.
